LaunchDistro vs LaunchRepo

A LaunchRepo alternative with nothing to set up.

LaunchDistro is a LaunchRepo alternative for founders who'd rather not set up a toolkit before their first submission. It connects to Claude or Cursor with one line, guides your agent through each form from a tested playbook in your own browser, and checks every link went live.

LaunchRepo and LaunchDistro are closer than most tools here: both put your own AI agent to work, in your browser, with you handling sign-ins. LaunchRepo sells the toolkit once, as a private GitHub repository your agent reads. Here's where the two differ.

—In detail

Where the two differ.

Filling the form

Both put your own agent in your own browser. LaunchRepo gives it a guide per platform in your repo; LaunchDistro serves each directory's playbook when the agent needs it, with the free plan's conditions and where to stop, and updates it on our side when a form changes. Either way your AI provider's usage applies to the forms your agent fills, which LaunchRepo says plainly too.

Price: once, or a subscription

LaunchRepo is €104.98 once, and the price rises 20% after every 20 sales. It covers every product you own, and you keep the repository. LaunchDistro is free for 10 submissions, then €29 once for up to 100 directories for one product in 30 days, or Pro at €39 a month or €349 a year for every product, with no cap. If you're comfortable with Git and plan to launch several products for years, LaunchRepo's one payment is hard to beat.

Catalog size, and honesty about it

LaunchRepo lists 323 guides and is upfront that only 57 are verified free and 77 conditional, with a check date on each. That's more tested routes than we have today: our catalog lists 200+ directories, with 47 backed by a playbook tested on a real submission. We add more as each one passes a live run.

Setup

LaunchRepo needs Git, Python, Node.js, Chrome and an agent wired to Chrome DevTools, and its site suggests checking that before you buy. LaunchDistro runs on our side: you add one line or one URL to Claude or Cursor, and your agent uses the browser it already has.

Checking links after launch

Both keep submitted, pending and live apart. LaunchDistro also reads each live link's rel attribute, keeps each confirmation page in your dashboard, and on Pro checks placed links again every week, so a listing that drops or turns nofollow shows up.

—Honestly

When LaunchRepo is the better choice.

A done-for-you service and a tool you run are different trades. Here's when theirs wins.

You want to pay once and own the files

One payment, the repository is yours, and it covers every product you own.

You want the biggest tested list today

Their 134 verified or conditional zero-cost routes outnumber our 47 tested playbooks right now.

You like editing the instructions

Their guides are plain Markdown in your own repo, so you can read and change every step.

—And when

When LaunchDistro fits better.

It works from Claude or Cursor. See how in the Claude and Cursor guides.

You want to know where your product fits

Directories are matched to your product, with the reason for each and a plan that starts the long queues first.

You want it working in one line

No Git, Node.js or DevTools wiring before your first submission: one line in your AI app, and your own browser.

You want links checked every week

Each live link's rel is read, and placed links are checked again for drops and nofollow flips.

LaunchRepo vs LaunchDistro, answered

Close. Both use your own AI agent and your own browser, and both stop for sign-ins and payments. The difference is where it lives: LaunchRepo is a repository you set up and keep, LaunchDistro is a server you connect to, with matching, a dashboard and weekly link checks on our side.

Your next 10 directory submissions are free.

Add it to Claude or Cursor, describe your product once, and watch the first form fill itself.
