LaunchDistro vs ListingBott

A ListingBott alternative you run yourself.

LaunchDistro is a ListingBott alternative for founders who'd rather run their directory submissions than hand them off. It works inside Claude or Cursor: your agent fills each form in your own browser while you watch, and costs €29 per launch instead of $499 per product.

ListingBott is a done-for-you service: their team picks 100 directories from a database of 10,000+, submits over about a month, and sends you a report. It's a good fit if you want zero involvement. Here's how the two compare, and when each one makes sense.

—In detail

Where the two differ.

Price: per product, at two very different prices

ListingBott is $499 for one product's 100 listings; its launch pricing started at $299. LaunchDistro is free for 10 submissions, then €29 once for up to 100 directories for one product in 30 days, or Pro at €39 a month or €349 a year for every product, with no cap. For one product you'll launch once, you're trading about $470 for a few evenings of your own time.

Who picks the directories

ListingBott picks 100 for you, and you approve or decline the list before they start. With LaunchDistro you, or Claude, filter the catalog by authority, link type and category, and nothing is submitted until you say go. The catalog is small on purpose: the first paid list I bought had W3.org, IBM and MySpace on it. A directory only gets in once it has held up on a real submission.

How long it takes

ListingBott spreads the work over about a month, at a human pace. LaunchDistro fills a form in minutes whenever you run it, so you can time listings around a Product Hunt launch or a big update. Either way, each directory reviews on its own schedule: some list you the same day, some take weeks.

Proof: a report, or a live check

ListingBott sends a full report. LaunchDistro keeps every confirmation page, then opens the public listing, finds your link and reads its rel attribute before it counts it as live. It checks placed links again later, because directories do drop listings and quietly switch links to nofollow.

Badges, link-backs and paid upgrades

Some directories only give you the link if you add their badge or link back to them, and plenty push a paid upgrade halfway through the form. LaunchDistro's playbooks say so before you start, and the browser stops at any payment step. Paying is always your decision.

—Honestly

When ListingBott is the better choice.

A done-for-you service and a tool you run are different trades. Here's when theirs wins.

You don't want to touch it at all

ListingBott does the whole job. LaunchDistro needs you for sign-ins, CAPTCHAs and a click on some sites.

You need local, country-specific directories

They cover local directories by country. Our catalog is startup, SaaS and AI tool directories.

You want 100 listings in one order

They deliver 100 in about a month. We have 50 directories with a tested playbook today.

—And when

When LaunchDistro fits better.

It works from Claude or Cursor. See how in the Claude and Cursor guides.

You want to see every submission

The form fills in your own browser, and each confirmation page is kept in your dashboard.

You launch more than once

Describe each product once. Pro has no submission cap, so the next launch costs nothing extra.

You want the links checked later

Directories drop listings and add nofollow. LaunchDistro checks placed links again and tells you when one changes.

Other ListingBott alternatives.

Each described from its own site, checked on the same date.

  • Browser automation you pay for once: $29, $49 or $79 for 30, 60 or 100 directories you pick, delivered in 24 to 48 hours.

  • A Chrome extension that autofills submission forms, $29 for lifetime access. Its list is 15 directories and growing.

  • A manual, done-for-you service built around AI directories: $99 to $199 once for 30 to 100+ submissions. Compare aidirectori.es with LaunchDistro.

ListingBott vs LaunchDistro, answered

For one launch, a LaunchDistro Launch is €29 against ListingBott's $499. The catch is time: you run it and do the sign-ins yourself. If your time is worth more than the difference, ListingBott is the better deal.

Your next 10 directory submissions are free.

Add it to Claude or Cursor, describe your product once, and watch the first form fill itself.
